Ahnkl is the solo project of multi-faceted Austrian artist Werner Posekany who has been writing and performing music most of his life, most notably touring and performing extensively with experimental/fusion band The Uptown Monotones.
On an extended stay in Jamaica he had the opportunity to work with some of his idols rekindling the passion for his first true love – reggae. After collaborating with Sly and Robbie, Eeka Mouse and a few others he was so inspired that the songs simply poured out and he knew it was the perfect time for a solo project.
Ahnkl’s solo project is comprised of upbeat reggae music that makes people feel good.

Ahnkl ist das Soloprojekt des Grazer Musikers und Multimedia Künstlers Werner Posekany. Als Produzent und Songwriter wirkt er in unzähligen Projekten und Veröffentlichungen, außerdem tourt er international mit seiner Band The Uptown Monotones.
Ein Jamaika Aufenthalt und die Zusammenarbeit mit wahren Größen der Musik Szene in Kingston ließen seine langjährige Passion für Reggae Musik wieder aufleben!
Die Studioaufnahmen mit Sly & Robbie, Eeka Mouse und anderen namhaften Musikern inspirierten Posekany nachhaltigst und so entstanden in kurzer Zeit Songs und Musik die förmlich aus seiner Feder flossen. Ein Soloprojekt ist die logische Konsequenz. Ahnkl steht für upbeatige Reggae und Popmusik die ihre HörerInnen glücklich macht.
